First Tuesday practice 10th January First Friday practice 13th January RECRUITING DO YOU PLAY A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT OR WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN? If you play a musical instrument or would like to learn to play a musical instrument in a fun environment, why not come along to one of our practice nights and see what we are about. We are looking to recruit brass and woodwind players of any age. Our corps of drums also has side drum positions currently available and are also looking to recruit tenor drummers and Cymbal players. We take our music seriously but we have a lot of fun while we are doing it. The band has a very busy social calendar, as well as participating at over 40 events on the Island and mainland during each band season. We are a community band that was formed in January 2000. We have a current membership of 45 musicians of mixed ages and ability, both male and female. The motto of the band, "Music with Friendship", was not, just thought of as so many words but formed the core approach to all that the band does. Featuring on this website we can not only look back at our achievements, but also use this as an example of how the band continues to grow and develop, not only as a band, but a wonderful group of people that enhance themselves and their community.
